Starting May 26, barbecue enthusiasts, whether locals or visitors, can indulge in the delectable flavors of authentic barbecue, featuring pulled pork, smoked sausage, brisket, ribs, and a variety of tantalizing sauces.

Nestled in the vibrant yard of the Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall, Chucktown BBQ aims to redefine Atlantic City’s gastronomic landscape by combining the rustic charm of the beer hall with the art of barbecue. This fusion promises an unforgettable dining experience for patrons.

Executive Chef Charles Soreth, owner and pitmaster of Chucktown BBQ, expressed his excitement, stating, “Our goal is to bring a unique experience to Atlantic City. We wanted to create an atmosphere where everyone can enjoy the rich flavors of Carolina-inspired barbecue, paired with the lively ambiance of the Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall.”

At Chucktown BBQ, guests can expect a carefully curated menu inspired by authentic Carolina BBQ, catering to even the most discerning barbecue connoisseurs. The menu features meticulously prepared pulled pork and chicken, renowned for their exceptional tenderness. The smoked sausage bursts with robust flavors, while the brisket offers a tantalizing taste of smoked excellence. Of course, no barbecue experience would be complete without savoring a succulent rack of perfectly charred ribs. The culinary journey is further elevated by an array of sauces, allowing guests to customize their plates to their personal preferences. Classic sides like collard greens, potato salad, Carolina slaw, and BBQ beans perfectly complement the mouthwatering meats. Guests can savor their preferred meats by the half or full pound or enjoy them in expertly crafted sandwiches.

Soreth revealed that the catchy name, Chucktown BBQ, stems from his own background, explaining, “Growing up sharing the same name as my father, the nickname Chuck was given to me as a way to differentiate us. After spending a lot of time in Charleston, which locals affectionately call ‘Chucktown,’ I decided to adapt the nickname of this iconic Southern city to my own concept, right in the heart of Atlantic City.”

The heart and soul of Chucktown BBQ lies in its outdoor yard, where guests are greeted by the enticing aroma of mesquite filling the air. The lively atmosphere, with 40 seats, invites patrons to relax and immerse themselves in the true essence of Southern hospitality. Friendly servers are on hand to take orders, while an extensive selection of craft beers and cocktails from the Beer Hall perfectly complements the barbecue feast. Exciting collaborations are also on the horizon, including a unique BBQ smoked Old Fashioned.

Whether guests choose to dine in or take out, they will soon be surrounded by a three-story mural painted by a local Atlantic City artist, adorning the outdoor walls surrounding the smoker. Catering services will be available, and guests can even book their next birthday or bachelorette party for an up-close and personal experience with the pitmaster.

Chucktown BBQ inside Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall will be open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting at 11 a.m. until the delectable BBQ delights sell out.
