Woman attacked with umbrella on Manhattan street as suspect flees
MANHATTAN, NY — Police are searching for a suspect who attacked a woman with an umbrella in broad daylight on the Upper East Side.
The incident happened around 4:25 p.m. on Feb. 20 in front of 1267 First Avenue, according to the NYPD.
Authorities said a 24-year-old woman was approached by an unidentified individual who struck her in the back with an umbrella, causing pain.
The suspect then fled on foot, heading southbound on First Avenue toward East 67th Street.
Police have not released a description of the suspect.
