Boston officers share stories and smiles with Roslindale students

BOSTON, Mass. – Officers from Boston Police District E-18 and the Bureau of Community Engagement spent the day at Sacred Heart STEM School in Roslindale, joining students to celebrate Faith & Blue by reading books and sharing stories about public service.

The visit, part of an ongoing community outreach effort, brought together police officers, teachers, and students for a day focused on connection and trust.

Officers spoke with students about their roles in keeping neighborhoods safe and answered questions about policing and teamwork.

A highlight of the day was a special appearance by Copper the BPD Comfort Dog, who received plenty of attention from the excited students. The event underscored the department’s commitment to building strong relationships with Boston’s youth through positive and personal engagement.
