BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS — Officers from District A-1 and the Bureau of Community Engagement of the Boston Police Department celebrated the last day of school at the Kwong Kow Chinese School in Chinatown on Thursday.
The event featured the department’s Ice Cream Truck, which served treats to students and staff.
The celebration was part of the Boston Police Department’s efforts to strengthen community ties. Ice cream was provided by HP Hood, with support from the Boston Police Foundation. The event offered officers an opportunity to connect with young students in a positive environment as they concluded the school year.
The atmosphere was festive as officers handed out ice cream and interacted with the children, reinforcing the department’s commitment to community engagement. Smiles were widespread as students enjoyed their treats and looked forward to the start of summer vacation.
“This was a great way to end the school year and build connections with the students,” an officer from District A-1 remarked during the event. The initiative is part of the Boston Police Department’s broader efforts to engage with communities throughout the city.
The event at Kwong Kow Chinese School is one of many similar initiatives organized by the department each year, aimed at fostering trust and cooperation between the police and the communities they serve.
