Boston Police Seize Numerous Off-Highway Vehicles Following Community Complaints

BOSTON, MA—Boston Police Department’s officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) have successfully seized a total of 31 off-highway vehicles as part of an effort to address community concerns regarding reckless operation. The operation targeted unregistered mopeds, scooters, and motorcycles that were being used in violation of motor vehicle laws.

The investigation, which was sparked by numerous complaints from local residents, led to the seizure of 25 vehicles on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, around 4:00 PM. All seized vehicles were unregistered and lacked the necessary number plate and expiration decal. An additional six vehicles were recovered previously on Saturday, July 6, 2024.

This enforcement action by the Boston Police highlights the department’s ongoing commitment to community safety and adherence to traffic laws, particularly in response to illegal vehicle operation that poses a risk to public safety.
