Brazen Bronx thieves threaten store worker, flee with $500 in goods

BRONX, NY – A group of four men stormed a local store and made off with hundreds in stolen merchandise after one suspect lifted his shirt to reveal what appeared to be a weapon and threatened a female employee.

The confrontation unfolded when the suspects began filling two duffel bags with household goods, totaling roughly $500 in value.

After making a verbal threat and brandishing a hammer, the group bolted westbound on West Fordham Road and vanished into nearby streets.

Police release suspect descriptions

Investigators are seeking the public’s help identifying the four suspects involved. The first is described as a man with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt, light-colored jeans, and black sneakers while carrying a black bag.

The second suspect is a male with a light complexion, last seen in a black and red baseball cap, black T-shirt, black pants, and black sneakers.

Suspects fled toward West Fordham Road

A third man, also with a light complexion, wore a red baseball cap, black T-shirt, black sweatpants, and white sneakers, and was carrying a black bag. The fourth man had a light complexion and wore a black baseball cap, multicolored jacket, black sweatpants, and black sandals.

The employee, a 32-year-old woman, was unharmed during the encounter. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
