The lifelong Brick residents bring business mechanical and technology backgrounds
BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ – Three lifelong Brick Township residents are beginning careers with the same police department that serves their hometown after being sworn in as full-time officers Monday and preparing to enter months of academy training.
The Brick Township Police Department announced the additions of Vincent Coburn, Briana Oliveros and David Strich, who were sworn in Sept. 1.
All three will attend the Ocean County Police Academy as members of Class 127. Their anticipated graduation is in February 2027.
Coburn graduated from Donovan Catholic High School in 2022 before attending The College of New Jersey. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in May.
Oliveros graduated from Brick Township Memorial High School in 2023 and attended Ocean County Vocational Technical School, earning a certification in Automotive Technology.
She has worked as a mechanic at Manahawkin Kia since 2023, giving her a technical and mechanical background as she enters law enforcement.
Strich graduated from Brick Township High School in 2019. He later attended Rowan University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Informatics in 2023.
The three recruits now move from their swearing-in to academy training before beginning their duties as Brick Township police officers.
