Bridgeville Man Arrested for Aggravated Menacing in Seaford

SEAFORD, Del. — Delaware State Police arrested 18-year-old Jacob Shade of Bridgeville for aggravated menacing following an incident in Seaford, authorities said.

The incident occurred on September 2, 2024, at approximately 10:55 p.m., when a 42-year-old victim reported to troopers at the Royal Farms on Concord Road that Shade had threatened him with a firearm. According to the investigation, the victim and Shade were involved in an argument on the 1500 block of Middleford Road when Shade allegedly pulled a gun and pressed it against the victim’s chest. The victim was not physically injured during the encounter.

Troopers obtained an arrest warrant for Shade, who was taken into custody and transported to Troop 5. He was charged with aggravated menacing and related offenses, arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $25,000 cash bond.
