Bronx liquor store sells $15K winning TAKE 5 ticket in evening drawing

BRONX, NY — A lucky lottery player scored a $15,668.50 prize after a winning TAKE 5 ticket was sold at a Bronx liquor store, officials said.

The ticket was purchased at M M J Wine & Spirits on Katonah Avenue for the March 19 evening drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from one through 39, with drawings held twice daily.

Winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.

The New York Lottery continues to be the largest and most profitable lottery in North America, contributing billions annually to public education.
