Bronx man arrested after armed robbery at Boone Avenue store leaves worker injured

BRONX, N.Y. – A Bronx man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a local business that left an employee injured last month, police said. The incident occurred around 12:25 p.m. on December 2 at 1711 Boone Avenue within the confines of the 42nd Precinct.

According to investigators, a man entered the commercial establishment, displayed a firearm, and demanded property from two employees, ages 22 and 24. During the confrontation, the suspect struck the 22-year-old victim in the head with the weapon before taking several packs of cigarettes from behind the counter. The gunman then fled the scene on foot to an unknown location. EMS responded, and the injured victim refused medical attention.

Following an investigation, police arrested 28-year-old Hasanae Kirby of Washington Avenue in the Bronx. Kirby faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, 14 counts of robbery, and two counts of assault.
