Bronx Man Wanted After Arm Slashing Outside Walton Avenue Building

Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of slashing a man during an early-morning dispute in the Bronx.

A 29-year-old man was injured after an assault outside 895 Walton Avenue in the Bronx early Thursday morning, according to the NYPD. Investigators said the attack occurred at approximately 4:40 a.m. within the confines of the 44th Precinct.

Authorities said the victim was standing in front of the building when an unidentified individual approached and a verbal dispute broke out. During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly displayed an unknown sharp object and slashed the victim in the arm before fleeing the scene.

Suspect fled north on Walton Avenue

The NYPD said the suspect ran from the location on foot and was last seen traveling northbound on Walton Avenue. No additional description of the individual was immediately released.

Officials did not provide details on the victim’s condition, but the injury was reported as a laceration to the arm. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to identify and locate the suspect.
