A daylight stabbing outside a Bronx residence left a 21-year-old man wounded after an attacker armed with a cutting instrument struck multiple times and sped away, according to information released by NYPD Crime Stoppers. The incident unfolded Friday morning in the Morrisania section, prompting a search for the unidentified suspect.

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The attack occurred Friday at approximately 10:25 a.m. in front of 1501 Bryant Avenue, within the confines of the 42nd Precinct. Police said the victim was approached by an unknown individual who then produced a cutting instrument and carried out the assault before fleeing the scene.

“On Friday, April 10, 2026, at approximately 10:25 A.M., in front of 1501 Bryant Avenue, in the confines of the 42nd Precinct, a 21-year-old male victim was approached by an unidentified individual,” the NYPD said in a public alert. “The unidentified individual displayed a cutting instrument and stabbed the victim in the forearm, leg, and torso before fleeing the location eastbound on Jennings Street in a gray Honda.”

Suspect sought as investigation continues

The victim sustained injuries to his forearm, leg, and torso. His condition has not been publicly detailed. No arrests have been made, and police have not released a description of the suspect beyond the vehicle used in the escape.

The suspect was last seen heading eastbound on Jennings Street in a gray Honda, according to the alert. Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual responsible.
