Brooklyn man stabbed in daylight hate attack near Kingston Avenue

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – A 35-year-old man was stabbed in the chest Tuesday afternoon after a violent encounter that investigators are calling an anti-Jewish hate crime near Kingston Avenue and Lincoln Place.

Police said the victim was walking shortly after 4 p.m. when an unidentified assailant approached him, shouted anti-Jewish remarks, and then attacked with a knife before fleeing on foot toward Sterling Place and Albany Avenue.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect remains at large as detectives with the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force continue their investigation into the assault.
