Teen stabbed and robbed by group in violent Flushing attack

FLUSHING, N.Y. – A 17-year-old boy was ambushed and stabbed by a group of men behind a Barclay Avenue building Sunday night in a brutal assault that left him hospitalized and robbed of his belongings.

The attack happened around 7:20 p.m. behind 142-30 Barclay Avenue, where police said five unidentified individuals surrounded the teen. One man pulled a knife and stabbed the victim several times in the left arm before the group punched and kicked him and stole his Apple AirPods and wallet, valued at about $455.

Emergency medical personnel took the teen to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was listed in stable condition.

All five suspects fled on foot toward Sanford Avenue and remain at large.

Investigators described the individuals as males with light complexions, all dressed in dark clothing. One wore a black jacket with a light-colored sweater and white sneakers, while others were seen in black jackets, sweaters, pants, and sneakers.

Police are asking anyone with information on the group’s identity or whereabouts to contact the NYPD or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
