Buffalo man charged after brutal Trowbridge Street stabbing

Buffalo, NY – A 61-year-old Buffalo man has been charged following a stabbing that left a victim with more than a dozen wounds on Trowbridge Street, according to the Buffalo Police Department.

The Buffalo Police Department announced an arrest was made Wednesday in connection with the incident, which occurred earlier that morning in the 100 block of Trowbridge Street.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 10:02 a.m. for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, they located a male victim suffering from more than a dozen stab wounds. The victim was transported by AMR to ECMC, where he remains in critical condition.

Police said the suspect was apprehended without incident. He was also transported by AMR to ECMC for treatment of a knife wound to his hand.

Authorities identified the suspect as Joseph Allgood, 61, of Buffalo. He has been charged with Assault in the First Degree, a Class B felony under New York State Penal Law 120.10-1, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, a Class A misdemeanor under Penal Law 265.01-2.
