SEVERN, Md. — A dispute involving several people in Severn escalated into gunfire Sunday afternoon, leaving a vehicle damaged and detectives searching for the person responsible, according to Anne Arundel County police.
Officers responded at approximately 4:45 p.m. to the 1100 block of Reese Road following reports of a shooting.
Witnesses told investigators an altercation involving multiple individuals escalated when one person fired a handgun.
Police said no one was struck by the gunfire.
However, a vehicle was hit by a projectile during the incident.
Responding officers searched the area, and detectives have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No arrests have been announced.
