Bus Dispute Ends in Brutal Beating in the Bronx

NEW YORK – Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery and assault that took place near the Grand Concourse in the Bronx.

The incident occurred on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at approximately 10:50 a.m. Authorities say a 39-year-old man was involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified individual on a bus. The suspect then followed the victim to the intersection of Grand Concourse and East 161st Street, where he punched him multiple times in the face, causing him to fall and drop his belongings.

The suspect took the victim’s property before fleeing northbound on the Grand Concourse. The victim was treated by EMS at the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a male with a slim build and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black coat and black clothing.
