Car fire temporarily shuts down Route 35 in Holmdel; no injuries reported

HOLMDEL, N.J. – A vehicle fire briefly shut down a section of State Highway 35 early Saturday morning, but all occupants escaped unharmed, according to the Holmdel Township Police Department.

Authorities responded to the scene after the car caught fire, prompting a temporary road closure. Firefighters extinguished the flames, and the vehicle was removed from the roadway.

The highway has since reopened, and no injuries were reported.
