CHESAPEAKE BEACH, MD – A 28-year-old Prince George’s County man is facing criminal charges after a series of incidents across Calvert County this week, including an attempted residential burglary and a reported indecent exposure on a public boardwalk.
The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office identified Moses Ekundayo Olubu as the suspect tied to multiple calls for service between Tuesday and Wednesday. Deputies responded to incidents including a welfare check, an attempted burglary at a home on B Street in Chesapeake Beach, and a separate report of indecent exposure along the North Beach Boardwalk.
“During that time, deputies responded to several calls for service, including a welfare check, an attempted residential burglary, and an indecent exposure incident,” the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office stated. “Through the initial investigation and contact made during the welfare check, deputies were able to identify Olubu as the suspect in the other reported incidents.”
Charges filed, investigation continues
Authorities confirmed that Olubu has been charged with attempted fourth-degree burglary tied to the Chesapeake Beach incident. “As a result of the investigation, criminal charges have been filed against Olubu for Attempted Fourth-Degree Burglary in connection with an incident that occurred at a residence on B Street in Chesapeake Beach,” the agency said, noting that a criminal summons has been issued.
The indecent exposure case tied to the North Beach Boardwalk remains under active investigation. “The investigation into the reported indecent exposure that occurred on the North Beach Boardwalk remains active and ongoing,” the sheriff’s office said.
Officials also confirmed that Olubu is no longer in Calvert County. “At this time, the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Olubu’s guardian has transported him back to Prince George’s County,” the agency stated.

Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed either incident or who has relevant information to come forward. “The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have witnessed either incident or who has additional information related to the attempted burglary or indecent exposure investigation to contact the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office,” the statement said.
