Cambridge Man Accused of Threatening to Blow Up Home, Shoot Victim During Domestic Disturbance

CAMBRIDGE, Md. — A Cambridge man faces criminal charges after police say he threatened to blow up a home and shoot another person during a disturbance Sunday evening on Oyster Catcher Court.

Cambridge Police Department officers responded around 7:06 p.m. Sunday to the 200 block of Oyster Catcher Court after receiving reports of a disturbance involving two men arguing outside a residence.

When officers arrived, witnesses and the victim told police that 31-year-old Alonzo Lamont Davis threatened to “blow the house up” and shoot the victim during the confrontation, according to Cambridge police.

Investigators arrested Davis at the scene and transported him to the Cambridge Police Department for processing.

Witnesses Reported Violent Threats During Argument

Police said officers encountered two men actively arguing when they arrived at the neighborhood Sunday evening.

Authorities did not release details about what triggered the dispute or whether weapons were recovered during the investigation.

Davis, who is from Cambridge, was later released on his own recognizance following processing, according to the department.

He was formally charged with threat of arson.
