Catonsville man charged after woman shot and injured on Preston Court

TOWSON, MD – A 20-year-old man is in custody after Baltimore County detectives linked him to a shooting that left a young woman wounded Friday night in Catonsville. Officers were called to the 200 block of Preston Court following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found a 20-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body. Medics rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators determined that the suspect and victim knew each other. Following the investigation, detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit arrested the man Saturday. He now faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder. His name will be released once he appears before a court commissioner.
