Christie going hard on Trump, quiet on Biden during Presidential run

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is going hard on former Republican President Donald Trump, but when it comes to the current Democrat in office in the White House, the boisterous bully has little to say.

Since announcing his run for President, Christie has set his sights on one target, and one target only, Donald Trump.

The two former close allies have been trading barbs on social media and online for months. While the unpopular former New Jersey governor has criticized President Biden, he reserves his sharpest barbs for Trump.

This week, the two exchanged jabs over their weight.

“Oh, like he’s some Adonis?” Trump said in an interview with Howard Kurtz on Fox News’ “Media Buzz.”

Trump said Christie’s weight has nothing to do with whether or not he’s qualified.

Christie responded by calling Trump a schoolyard bully, “Here’s my message to him. I don’t care what he says about me, and I don’t care what he thinks about me, and he should take a look in the mirror every once in a while — maybe he’d drop the weight thing off of his list of criticisms.”

It was the political equivalent of “I know you are, but what am I?”

Christie is trailing far behind in the polls, but has climbed from 0% to 2% in recent weeks.

Christie appears to be laser-focused on bringing the fight to his old friend, but the effort appears to be pushing more Republicans on the fence to Trump as Christie’s attacks on Trump are featured regularly in the spotlight on liberal-leaning networks such as CNN and MSNBC.

Christie has become a liberal talking point for the anti-Trump media and a hero for the moderate left in their effort to re-elect Biden in 2024.
