Clarksburg Resident Arrested for Germantown Shooting

CLARKSBURG, MD — Raymond Leon McRoy, an 18-year-old from Clarksburg, was arrested in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Waters Road in Germantown on Thursday, December 14.

Police officers from the 5th District responded to the 19500 block of Waters Road around 9:30 a.m. following a report of a shooting. They found an adult male with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

Investigators from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Investigative Section identified McRoy as the suspect. He was apprehended on Monday, December 18, under an arrest warrant. McRoy faces charges including attempted first-degree murder, assault, and firearms-related offenses.
