Tonight, the clouds will linger, with temperatures dipping to about 57°F. The wind will shift to the northeast at around 5 mph before becoming calm later in the evening.
By Thursday, the skies will clear for a mostly sunny day, and temperatures will rise to a pleasant 74°F. The wind will again be light, starting from the northeast at 5 to 10 mph before shifting east by the afternoon. Thursday night will see partly cloudy skies with a low near 55°F. Winds will remain gentle, shifting from southeast to southwest overnight.
In addition to the general forecast, a Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect until noon today. Some areas, especially Ocean, Coastal Ocean, and Southeastern Burlington counties, may experience minor flooding with up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
Vulnerable roads could see partial or full closures, so if travel is necessary, be prepared for potential delays and avoid driving through flooded roads. Spotty minor coastal flooding could persist during high tides later tonight and into Thursday morning.
