Columbus Man Arrested After Allegedly Firing at Vehicle During Domestic Dispute

Police say a Columbus man was arrested after allegedly firing multiple shots at a victim who was attempting to drive away from a domestic incident.

Columbus, OH – A Columbus man has been arrested after police say he fired multiple shots at a victim during a domestic dispute Sunday afternoon.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers responded on June 28 to reports of shots fired in the 2100 block of Eakin Road.

Victim reported shots fired while fleeing

When officers arrived, they located a victim who told investigators that Allen Brumfield, 50, had fired several rounds at them as they were driving away from the scene.

Police responded to the reported location of the shooting and quickly located Brumfield at the scene.

Suspect taken into custody

Officers arrested Brumfield without incident and charged him with domestic violence, according to police.

Authorities did not report any injuries or announce additional charges related to the reported gunfire. The investigation remains ongoing.

As with all criminal cases, Brumfield is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
