Cool and overcast weather expected Sunday at the shore after morning rain

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. — The Jersey Shore is expected to see cool and overcast conditions Sunday following a chance of early morning rain.

Forecasters predict a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 7 a.m., with patchy fog possible between 11 a.m. and noon. After the morning rain clears, skies will remain cloudy throughout the day. High temperatures are expected to reach around 67 degrees, with light northeast winds near 5 mph.

Precipitation amounts are expected to stay light, with new rainfall totals of less than a tenth of an inch.

Cloudy conditions to continue into Sunday night

Sunday night’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies and a low near 58 degrees. Winds from the east will calm as the night progresses. Another brief chance of showers may develop after 4 a.m. heading into Monday morning.
