Cops cuff knife-wielding man after sidewalk spat in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 57-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly threatening another person with a knife during an argument in Northwest D.C., the Metropolitan Police Department announced Monday.

On Thursday afternoon, July 3, at around 3:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault in the 4300 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW. According to investigators, a verbal dispute between the suspect and victim escalated when the suspect pulled out a knife and pointed it at the victim.

Responding officers quickly apprehended the suspect at the scene. The victim was not injured during the incident.

The suspect has been identified as Brian Gomillion, of no fixed address. He was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
