Costco to require membership to purchase gasoline at new jersey stations

Costco To Require Membership to Purchase Gasoline at New Jersey Stations

BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ – The line of customers at the Brick Township Costco gas station on Route 70 is always dozens of cars deep on any given day, but that could change on July 5th.

According to the company, as of July 5th, New Jersey drivers will have to purchase a Costco membership in order to take advantage of Costco’s membership pricing.

The company, since launching its gasoline stations, has allowed non-members to purchase the often discounted gasoline.

A sign in Brick read, “Attention Costco Gas Station Patrons: Effective July 5, 2022, your active Costco membership card will be required for gasoline purchases.”

The company did not give a reason for the change in policy.
