Cumberland Man Arrested for Assaulting Woman Inside Local Business

CUMBERLAND, MD — On Thursday, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons to 21-year-old Nicholi Alexander Sneden of Frostburg, following an incident that occurred earlier this week.

The incident, which took place on Monday around 6:55 PM, led officers to the 200 block of Paca Street responding to a medical emergency and a report of a possible assault. Upon arrival, police encountered Sneden, who reported being assaulted by a female during an argument at a business on Greene Street.

Further investigation revealed that Sneden himself had committed an assault during the incident. Charges were subsequently filed against him at the District Court of Allegany County. Sneden acknowledged receipt of the summons and was released pending his trial.

Sneden faces charges of second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
