Cumberland, MD – A 25-year-old woman was arrested Saturday after police say she attacked another person during a domestic dispute inside a Cumberland home.

Officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Cumberland Street following a report of an assault.

The victim told police the altercation began when the woman started throwing their belongings out of the home.

Police say argument escalated into physical assault

Investigators determined that during the argument, the suspect, identified as Inaya Sieana Smith, allegedly hit the victim with a stick and swung a knife toward them. No serious injuries were reported at the scene.
