D.C. Carjackers Caught On Camera

WASHINGTON, DC — In an urgent plea for public assistance, the D.C. Metro Police Department’s First District is working to identify three individuals linked to an attempted armed carjacking in Southwest Washington. The crime took place on Wednesday night.

The event unfolded at 11:50 PM when a food delivery driver was confronted by several suspects upon returning to his vehicle on the 1100 block of 4th Street, Southwest. A suspect drew a firearm and demanded the car keys. Fortunately, the victim escaped unharmed. Unable to steal the vehicle, the suspects vandalized it and escaped on foot.

The suspects were recorded on surveillance video and are now sought by police.
