DC CVS hit by brazen pack of thieves caught on cam

Washington, DC — A group of suspects is being sought after a brazen retail theft Monday afternoon at a CVS in Southeast DC, according to police.

The incident took place around 5:11 p.m. Monday, June 30, in the 500 block of 12th Street, Southeast. Surveillance images captured multiple suspects entering the store, stealing merchandise, and fleeing before officers arrived.

First District officers responded to the scene shortly after the suspects escaped. Police have released surveillance images in hopes the public can help identify those involved.

Investigators did not immediately say what items were taken or how many suspects participated in the theft.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to arrests and indictments in the case.
