Decomposed Body Found in Philadelphia Identified As 61-Year-Old Man

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Authorities in Philadelphia’s 18th District are conducting an investigation after a 61-year-old black male was found deceased inside a residence on the 5600 Block of Larchwood Avenue. The body, which was heavily decomposed, was pronounced dead at 11:25 AM by Medic 9.

The scene is currently preserved for investigation as officials seek to determine the cause of death.

In a separate incident in the 24th District, a 40-year-old unidentified white female was found unresponsive in the backyard of a property on the 1900 Block of East Pike Street. The discovery was made at about 8:52 AM, and she was pronounced dead by Medic 57 at 8:57 AM. The investigation into her cause of death is ongoing.

Both districts are actively investigating these incidents, with details to be updated as investigations progress.
