HARRINGTON, Del. – Delaware State Police have identified the two men involved in a murder-suicide near Harrington, releasing their names Thursday as detectives continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Police identified the victim as Richard Jobes, 62, of Harrington. The suspect was identified as Richard Jobes II, 36, of Indiana, Pennsylvania.
State police said Richard Jobes II “committed suicide during the incident.” Authorities did not provide additional information in Thursday’s update about the relationship between the two men or what investigators believe led to the incident.
Delaware State Police Homicide Unit Continues Investigation
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit remains in charge of the investigation.
The agency’s latest update focused primarily on identifying the victim and suspect. Additional details about the circumstances of the killing were not released Thursday.
