BOSTON, MA – Detectives from District A-1 (Downtown) are investigating multiple commercial burglaries that have been reported in the Downtown area since August 21. The suspect is believed to have used a pry tool to gain access to businesses during overnight hours.

The suspect is described as a Black male with a beard, wearing either a black jacket or hoodie, a baseball cap with distinct writing, and carrying a dark backpack. Stolen items include credit cards, cash, electronics, and camera equipment.

Detectives from District A-1 are actively reviewing details related to the burglaries. “Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact District A-1 Detectives at (617) 343-4571,” a police spokesperson stated.

Members of the community may also provide information anonymously through the CrimeStoppers Tip Line. This line is available at 1-800-494-TIPS (8477), or individuals can text the word “TIP” to CRIME (27463).

Photos and videos may be submitted anonymously, and the Boston Police Department assures the confidentiality of those who provide information.

The investigation continues as law enforcement seeks to apprehend the suspect linked to these burglaries.
