LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Diva Fam Inc. has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of its True Sea Moss Gel Superfood products after state inspectors found the products lacked required regulatory authorization and temperature monitoring records for pH-controlled foods, raising concerns about a potential risk of botulism, the company announced January 9.

The recall includes all flavors, lots, and batch numbers of True Sea Moss Gel packaged in 16-ounce glass jars manufactured prior to January 9, 2026. The products were distributed through select retailers and online at the company’s website, trueseamoss.com, as well as other online outlets.

Botulism is a rare but potentially fatal illness caused by toxins that attack the nervous system. Symptoms may include weakness, dizziness, double vision, slurred speech, difficulty swallowing, and, in severe cases, respiratory failure or paralysis. No illnesses or adverse events have been reported in connection with the recalled products to date.

The recall affects the following flavors and UPC codes:

  • Mango (5065006235875)
  • Pineapple (5065006235288)
  • Wildcrafted (5065006235073)
  • Apple and Cinnamon (5065006235776)
  • Elderberry (5065006235189)
  • Passion Fruit (5061033691882)
  • Blue Spirulina and Raspberry (5065006235813)
  • Strawberry (5065006235271)
  • Cherry (5061033691264)
  • Mango and Pineapple (5065006235301)
  • 5 Blends in 1 (5061033690052)
  • Soursop (5061033691875)
  • Lemon Pie (5061033691271)
  • Orange (5061033692926)

The issue was identified during an inspection by the California Department of Public Health, which found inconsistencies in manufacturing records and temperature controls for pH-regulated food safety requirements. Diva Fam said it is working closely with regulators and conducting the recall “out of an abundance of caution to ensure full compliance.”

Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled products immediately and either dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.

For questions, customers may contact the company at support@divafam.com or call (818) 751-3882, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time.
