Man arrested after neglected dog found in poor condition in North Carolina
HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina man was arrested after authorities say a dog was found in poor condition and in need of immediate medical care.
Animal Enforcement officers with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office responded March 20 to a report of a contained stray dog.
When they arrived, officers took custody of the animal and transported it to a local veterinary hospital for treatment due to its condition.
During the investigation, officials identified the dog’s owner as Keith Wesley Greene, 33, of Hendersonville.
Greene was arrested and charged with animal cruelty.
Authorities said the case remains under investigation and emphasized their commitment to addressing allegations of animal abuse.
