Domino’s throws Hail Mary with cheap pizza deals ahead of Super Bowl

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Domino’s Pizza is getting an early start on the Super Bowl celebration, rolling out a limited-time “Touchdown Value Meal” that lets fans score large two-topping carryout pizzas for just $6.99 each from January 26 through February 1.

With the biggest football Sunday of the year just ahead, the world’s largest pizza chain is preparing for one of its busiest days by offering what it calls a “Hail Mary” deal to kick off game week. The promotion applies to any large two-topping pizza on Hand Tossed, Crunchy Thin, or New York Style crusts. Customers can upgrade to a Parmesan-Stuffed Crust pizza for an additional $3 or a specialty pizza for $4 more.

“No matter what football team you’re rooting for, Domino’s is here to deliver a winning game plan,” said Frank Garrido, Domino’s executive vice president and chief restaurant officer. “Whether your go-to pizza is Hand Tossed or Crunchy Thin, you can enjoy your favorite crust at a great deal.”

Domino’s says its stores across the U.S. are ramping up staffing, supplies, and delivery logistics to handle the Super Bowl Sunday surge — typically one of its top five busiest days of the year. The company expects to sell about 2.4 million pizzas on game day, roughly 40 percent more than a typical Sunday. Pepperoni remains the undisputed fan favorite topping.

According to the company, last year’s Super Bowl orders alone could stretch enough pizza across nearly 7,000 football fields, underscoring the nationwide appetite for hot pies on football’s biggest night.
