October 11, 2024

BOSTON, MA – Early on Friday at approximately 12:42 AM, officers from District B-2 in Roxbury arrested Misael Fuentes, 36, of Dorchester. The arrest was made over multiple breaking and entering charges.

The officers had been alerted by a Boston Regional Intelligence Center (BRIC) flyer detailing a suspect involved in a series of breaking and entering incidents on Shetland Street. During their patrol, they noticed an individual matching the suspect’s description near Blue Hill Avenue and Southwood Street.

This suspect was seen standing on an electric scooter. When officers approached to engage him, he attempted to flee. The officers pursued and witnessed the individual lose control of the scooter, crashing into a chain link fence near 19 Forest Street. The suspect then tried to escape on foot but was swiftly apprehended by the pursuing officers.

Upon verifying the suspect’s identity, officers discovered that Fuentes had five active arrest warrants related to various breaking and entering charges. Additional charges levied against him include Leaving the Scene of Property Damage and Failure to Stop for Police. He is set to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
