Man accused of peering into windows and stalking victims in Dover
DOVER, NJ — A 20-year-old Dover man is facing a long list of criminal charges after investigators accused him of secretly recording explicit acts, stalking multiple victims and distributing videos online without consent, prosecutors said.
Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll and Dover police announced the arrest of Eric Morales-Cortez following an investigation spanning incidents alleged to have occurred between 2024 and 2025.
Authorities claim Morales-Cortez filmed a victim during an explicit act without permission before allegedly sharing the video directly with multiple people and posting it on social media.
Investigators also allege he sent explicit videos involving different victims during separate incidents in 2023 and 2025.
According to prosecutors, Morales-Cortez is additionally accused of repeatedly recording another victim on multiple occasions, causing the victim to fear for her safety.
Officials said he also allegedly trespassed onto another victim’s property several times and peered through windows, leaving the victim fearful.
In another incident, investigators claim Morales-Cortez followed a victim on foot while driving a vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Morales-Cortez was charged with two counts of invasion of privacy, four counts of cyber harassment, three counts of stalking, four counts of obscenity and one count of peering.
He was also charged with criminal trespass.
Authorities said Morales-Cortez has been detained at the Morris County Correctional Facility pending future court proceedings.
The investigation involved the Dover Police Department and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes and Child Endangerment Unit.
The charges are accusations, and Morales-Cortez is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
