Dover man critically injured in Tuesday night shooting

DOVER, Del. — A 34-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times Tuesday night in Dover, police said.

Officers responded to the 400 block of East Water Street around 7:04 p.m. following multiple reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found the victim with gunshot wounds to his torso and lower body. He was transported to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery and remains in critical but stable condition.

Investigators recovered multiple shell casings at the scene but have not yet identified a suspect or motive in the shooting. Authorities said the incident occurred near the unit block of Pewter Court, and the investigation is ongoing.
