TOMS RIVER, N.J. – The sounds of Motown are coming to Toms River Tuesday night when Dr. K’s Motown Revue takes the stage for a free waterfront concert at Shelter Cove Beach.
The performance begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, as part of Toms River’s Summer Concert Series presented by Mayor Daniel T. Rodrick and the Toms River Recreation Department. Township officials are encouraging concertgoers to bring chairs or blankets along with their own snacks.
There will be no fireworks after the concert. Mayor Rodrick noted that school starts the next day and decided to move next weeks fireworks show to this past week’s concert.
