The incident occurred at Teddy Bear Fresh Produce, located at 28595 Mary’s Court in Easton. Fire crews were called to the scene after an employee discovered flames inside one of the dumpsters and contacted 911.

According to the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal, the fire broke out inside the dumpsters owned by Blue Hen Disposal. A total of eight firefighters from the Easton Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and worked for nearly an hour to bring the situation under control.

No injuries were reported, and there were no occupants in the immediate area of the fire. The incident caused an estimated $3,000 in damages to the dumpsters. There was no reported structural damage to the nearby buildings.

Fire officials said the cause of the blaze remains under investigation. The area of origin was identified as the interior of one of the dumpsters.
