Elderly man assaulted in Williamsburg

The New York City Police Department is investigating an assault that occurred Sunday evening in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, involving a 72-year-old man who was injured after being pushed to the ground.

According to police, the incident happened on May 4, 2025, at approximately 6:35 p.m. in front of 192 Kent Avenue. The victim was approached by two unidentified individuals who shoved him, causing him to fall and strike his head on the pavement.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn, where he was treated for a head abrasion and listed in stable condition.

The suspects fled the area in a gray vehicle, and their whereabouts remain unknown. No arrests have been made, and no further suspect descriptions were immediately available.

Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
