NEW YORK, N.Y. – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with the assault of a 75-year-old man inside a building on West 115th Street in Harlem.
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at approximately 8:20 a.m. Friday, July 17, inside 20 West 115th Street within the confines of the 28th Precinct and Public Service Area 5. Police said the victim became involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified individual before the encounter turned violent.
Victim suffered minor injuries
Authorities said the suspect struck the 75-year-old victim multiple times in the face, causing minor facial injuries and head pain. The suspect fled the location on foot in an unknown direction before officers arrived.
The NYPD has not released a description of the suspect and continues to investigate the assault. Detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the individual or has information about the incident to come forward.
