Elderly Pasadena man arrested after attacking store manager with knife

PASADENA, Md. — A 72-year-old man was arrested early Friday morning after allegedly damaging property inside a convenience store and attacking the manager with a knife before fleeing, police said.

Officers responded to the Dash-In at 8078 Ritchie Highway around 2:40 a.m. after reports of a disorderly male suspect. According to police, the suspect, identified as Peter Brady O’Neill of Annapolis, became disruptive inside the store and caused property damage.

After being asked to leave, O’Neill remained outside and continued acting disorderly. When the manager confronted him, O’Neill allegedly charged at the manager while swinging a large knife before fleeing on foot.

Responding officers quickly canvassed the area and located O’Neill, who was taken into custody and charged.
