Lucky Long Island player wins $31K Take 5 jackpot

OCEANSIDE, NY — A top-prize winning Take 5 ticket worth $31,423.50 was sold at a Long Island deli for the Jan. 29 evening drawing, the New York Lottery announced.

The ticket was purchased at Cold Cut City, located at 230A Atlantic Ave. in Oceanside. Take 5 players select numbers from a field of one through 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Winning tickets can be claimed for up to one year from the date of the drawing. The identity of the winner has not yet been revealed.

The New York Lottery, North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributed $3.8 billion to public schools in New York State during the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
