Fire Damages Garage and Vehicles in Salisbury, No Injuries Reported

SALISBURY, Md. — A structure fire early Friday morning caused significant damage to a garage and nearby vehicles in Salisbury, according to local authorities.

The fire occurred at 142 Harford Road at approximately 8:48 a.m., in a one-story, wood-frame detached garage.

The Salisbury Fire Department responded to the scene with 25 firefighters, bringing the blaze under control in about 10 minutes. No injuries were reported.

Officials estimated the loss at $80,000 for the structure and $20,000 for its contents. The fire also caused heat damage to the nearby residence and resulted in an additional $20,000 in damages to two vehicles, an Eagle Talon and a Toyota Rav 4.

The fire is believed to have originated inside the garage due to an electrical failure, according to the preliminary investigation. There were no working smoke alarms or fire sprinklers in the structure at the time of the incident.
