Police Seek Suspect in Robbery of Woman in Flushing

QUEENS, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that took place in Flushing late Thursday night.

According to police, the incident occurred on August 29, 2024, at approximately 11:50 p.m. in the vicinity of Frame Place and Maple Avenue. A 63-year-old woman was walking when an unidentified individual approached her from behind, choked her, and forcibly took her bag, which contained her wallet, iPhone, and $6,000 in cash.

The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was transported by EMS to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

Authorities have released images of the suspect and are asking anyone with information regarding the individual’s identity or whereabouts to contact the NYPD. The investigation remains ongoing.
