Firearm Stolen from Vehicle in Wilkes Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A theft from a motor vehicle was reported in Wilkes-Barre, leading to the loss of a firearm. The incident occurred on Lockhart Street just after midnight on June 15, 2024.

Wilkes-Barre City Police responded to the call from a 26-year-old man who reported that his Taurus G2C firearm was stolen from his parked vehicle. According to the victim, the vehicle was unsecured at the time of the theft.

The police are actively investigating the case, seeking to identify and apprehend the unknown suspect responsible for the theft. Residents are reminded to secure their vehicles and valuables to prevent similar incidents.
